You ever think Kittypaw's gonna start getting annoyed with us? [NOT THAT HE KNOWS CASSIE DID, HAISE ONLY GAVE HIM A SUMMARY...]
That's the problem though. Who's gonna listen to anyone willing to set down ground rules? Most of us are used to order, but everyone has their own opinions on this team. Our ground rules are pretty much 'don't murder each other'.
Well, we don't know how common the bug infestations are, either. I hear where you're coming from, and I still think we ought to be careful here, but if we've only lost one of our number after all this time, even in the face of all these obstacles... perhaps we really are that lucky?
I've already achieved that distinction, unfortunately. Our...modes of communication did not seem to agree with one another.
[THE MORE YOU KNOW...]
It's concerning that with no hierarchy, it's likely to be nearly impossible to reach any sort of consensus with a team of this size. Kittypaw's considerably smaller, which means less of the obstacles you've laid out. We're not very advantaged in this arena.
I have a difficult time thinking of it that way, but I hope you're right.
Seriously? You're like the politest person on this team.
[HE'S IMPRESSED. GIVE HIM THE DIRT.]
That's a good point. How many of us are there? 80, right? How in the world are we supposed to get 80 stubborn people to see eye to eye? Also, note that I said don't murder each other. I don't mind fights, but some of our teammates are like sharks out for blood. That's one big point of contention.
So do I. It's better than any worst case scenario any of us have laid out so far.
That might have been the trouble, or at least part of it.
[Telling a polite man to be blunt...it sure was a thing]
I wonder if there's anything we can all agree on, in the end. Not all of us even want the same things from our service here, not to mention we aren't united by having volunteered to start with.
Maybe for once things will go better, but it's so hard to know. It feels as though we're equipped with far less information than we should be.
